"I am Femke Bender. I've been creatively engaged since childhood, dabbling in drawing, painting, photography, sculpting, designing, inventing, and brainstorming. Choosing a field of study was challenging because of the myriad options available! Eventually, I settled on studying illustration at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Now, years later and with a wealth of life experience, I know where my true passion lies: painting. I'm an abstract artist fascinated by the creative power of calmness and silence. I create expressive pieces in soft tones and colors, building depth and movement through multiple layers in my work. This allows viewers to drift into their own thoughts and perhaps uncover their true dreams amidst the silence."
